Indigo House

A 2 1/2 bedroom family home designed in collaboration with the family. 

​

The house sits at the bottom of a steep bank leading onto a protected paddy field near Galle in the south of Sri Lanka. 

The entire house is made up of only steel, concrete, glass and teak. Using local materials and techniques the house is a steel frame with concrete infill. Over the course of two years from the date of completion native plants will engulf the edges of the house eventually, almost totally, obscuring the house from the outside
